Volunteer

Volunteering means one who enters into or offers him or herself for a service of their own free will.  Volunteering takes commitment and passion for working on a team to get all tasks on any given agenda completed.  The Northern Healthy Connections Society is a safe and relaxing environment to work in.  NHCS has many opportunities for energetic individuals with a passion for working on a team and making our community accepting and supportive. We can only achieve this goal with your help.  If you are interested in any of the following areas please call us at (902) 895-0931 or email admin@nhcsociety.ca

The volunteer base of the organization continues to expand.  These valuable individuals spend many hours working on behalf of the Society.  Over and above the everyday operations they are actively involved with specific events such as the Art for AIDS Auction and Scotia bank AIDS Walk for Life.

The Northern Healthy Connections Society is currently seeking volunteers in the following areas:

  • Board of Directors
  • Monthly written articles
  • Committees (i.e., Fund Development)
  • Programming/Workshops
  • Hospital/Home Visits
  • Maintaining Resource Library
  • Complimentary Therapies
  • Transportation

Contact us to discuss how we can provide these valuable services to our community.  (902) 895-0931 or admin@nhcsociety.ca
